Stack Tower

Time your drops so each block lands on the stack. Miss the overlap and the tower shrinks—too small and it is game over.

Press Start, then tap Drop or Space when the block lines up with the stack.

How to play

  • A block slides back and forth above the tower — tap, click or press to drop it.
  • Land the block on top of the stack: any part that overhangs the block below is sliced off.
  • Each miss slices your block smaller and the tower harder to hit; miss the stack — or catch it by only a sliver — and the game ends.
  • Perfectly aligned drops keep your block at full size — stack as high as you can.

Game description

Stack Tower is the timing game that proves one input can carry an entire experience. A block glides side to side; you choose the moment it falls; whatever fails to overlap the tower below is sliced away forever. Every imperfect drop therefore narrows your future — the tower literally records your mistakes in its silhouette — until you are threading a sliver onto a sliver, one heartbeat of timing away from the end. Few games translate precision into consequence this elegantly.

The design brilliance is the compounding stakes. In most arcade games an error costs points; here it costs capability, shrinking your landing zone for every drop that follows, which makes early-game discipline feel like an investment and late-game recoveries feel heroic. The counter-skill is focus: every block sweeps at its own pace, so the habit that stacks high is watching one full pass before committing — recalibrating your timing on every single drop. Quick rounds, instant restarts and a tower that stands as a visible record of your run make this one of the most naturally competitive score-chasers on the site — the height is the argument, and everyone can see it.

Tips & tricks

  • Watch each new block for one full sweep before dropping — every block moves at its own speed, so recalibrate on every drop.
  • Protect your block size obsessively in the early tower; width lost in the first ten drops haunts the next thirty.
  • Aim your drop at the center of the stack — a centered near-miss survives, an edge near-miss slices deep.
  • If your block has shrunk, slow your breathing and shorten your focus to one perfect drop at a time.
  • After a near miss, pause and breathe — one calm, watched drop rebuilds more tower than three hurried ones.

Stack Tower — quick answers

What happens when my drop is slightly off?

The overhanging portion is cut away, and you continue with a narrower block. The game is forgiving per mistake but merciless in accumulation — three sloppy drops can halve your target zone.

Can I recover after my block gets tiny?

Yes — perfect drops keep what remains, and calm rhythmic play can carry a sliver surprisingly high. Some of the most satisfying runs are salvage operations from a near-fatal early game.

What counts as a tall tower?

Anything past twenty blocks shows real timing control, and past forty you are in rhythm-master territory. The tower on screen is your scoreboard — screenshot your best and challenge a friend.
